What we have done

In October 2026, we reviewed public pages with automated axe-core checks, keyboard navigation, and phone-width layouts. We improved text contrast and narrow-screen reflow, added a “Skip to content” link, and updated main landmarks to help people move directly to page content. These automated checks and partial manual reviews do not cover every accessibility need.

The case player provides a visible, labelled typed-answer field and an interrupt button that works with a click, tap, Enter, or Space. New examiner text and available results have polite screen-reader announcements; abrupt drops in monitored vitals use urgent announcements. Decorative logo animations stop within five seconds, and reduced-motion preferences remain supported.

Known limitations

  • The voice-first live exam room and case player have not yet had a full screen-reader pass with assistive-technology users.
  • Cases run in real time. Their timing may present barriers for people who need more time.
  • Synthetic ECG and ultrasound figures have short labels.
  • Speech-to-text quality varies with your browser, microphone, accent, and speech pattern. Typing is always available.
  • Third-party sign-in pages, including Google and Facebook, are outside our control.
