Recording Consent Notice
Version RECORDING-CONSENT-3
**DOME · Document RECORDING-CONSENT-3 · Last updated: October 16, 2026**
DOME is operated by Injexa Technologies LLC. This notice explains how your voice and your
exam data are handled when you use DOME. Our Terms of Service (domeexams.com/terms) and
Privacy Policy (domeexams.com/privacy) also apply.
**Please read this before your first exam. You will be asked to accept it, and you cannot
start an exam without doing so.**
---
## 1 · Your voice is recorded and transcribed
DOME is a spoken exam. When you speak, your microphone audio is captured and converted to
text so the examiner can respond to you and so your performance can be graded.
**Your audio is not stored by us.** It is held only in memory — in your browser and on our
server — during capture, transmission and transcription, and it is not written to any file,
database or storage system we control. There is no recording of your voice to play back,
and we derive nothing from your voice itself.
Your audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription and is subject to their
retention, described in section 2.
**What is kept is the text.** The transcript of what you said, and your graded performance,
are stored as described in section 3.
---
## 2 · Who processes what you say
**Transcription and the examiner's voice — OpenAI.** Your spoken audio is sent to OpenAI to
be turned into text. OpenAI also generates the examiner's spoken voice from our text.
**The examiner, consultants and patient — Anthropic.** Your transcribed answers and the
case context are sent to Anthropic, which plays every character you speak to.
**Neither provider trains on your data.** We have disabled the sharing and training
settings available to us on both accounts.
**Both providers may hold content briefly under their own policies.** Anthropic's standard
retention is 30 days. OpenAI retains submitted content for a limited period for abuse
monitoring under its own published terms. These windows are the providers' and not ours; we
do not control them and they may change.
**Grading is not done by an AI model.** Your score is produced by DOME's own rules engine
running on our servers. It applies written criteria and returns the same result for the same
actions every time. No model decides your score.
---
## 3 · What we store
**Your exam sessions.** The transcript of the session and your graded performance are stored
in our database (Supabase) so the exam can run and be scored.
**Your account.** Your email address; your trial, subscription or invite-code access
status; and the reference to your customer record at Stripe (never your card number).
**A record of which cases you ran.** We keep a separate record of which cases you started
and finished — the case, when you started it, how far you got, and whether you completed it.
**It holds no transcript and nothing you said.** We keep this for **up to 24 months**, and
we use it to see which cases candidates find hard and where they stop. It is product
analytics; it is not a history you can read back.
---
## 4 · Abuse limits
To stop automated abuse of the free demo, we store a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP
address — **never the address itself** — and use it only to cap how much AI processing a
single visitor can trigger and to allow one free case per visitor. These counters are kept
for up to one month.
We also set a random visitor ID on your device (a first-party cookie that contains no
personal information) so we can count how many free-case visitors go on to create an
account.
Our hosting provider records IP addresses in its own standard request logs for security and
abuse prevention.
---
## 5 · Bug reports and feedback
If you use the in-app report button, it sends us your message plus context to help us debug:
- a screenshot of the page you were on
- your recent transcript turns
- recent browser console errors
- the page address, case and session identifiers
- your browser and window size
- your email address, if you are signed in
These reports are stored in our database.
If you use the feedback card on the debrief, your rating, any comment you write, and any
answer you report as not credited (with what you think it should have earned) are stored in
our database with your account.
---
## 6 · Payments
If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe's hosted checkout. **DOME never sees or
stores your card number.**
---
## 7 · Do not use real patient information
DOME's cases are fictional and your answers are sent to the providers named in section 2.
**Do not speak or type real patient names, dates of birth, record numbers or any other
information that could identify a real person.** If you do, that information will be
transmitted and stored along with the rest of your session.
---
## 8 · If this notice changes
We record which version of this notice you accepted. **If we change the text, you will be
asked to read and accept the new version the next time you sign in.** Your earlier
acceptance is not carried over.
---
